Grupo STG  expands to the Caribbean

As part of STG´s first steps into the Caribbean, the group said yes to CANTO 2009.

The famous telecommunication event in the Caribbean, CANTO, was held this year in the lovely country of Trinidad&Tobago. STG participates for the first time in the event, as part of an extension in the representation contract with Tellabs. Great expectations from both companies are held. The great results that STG have given proof to Tellabs in the area are among the main reasons for this expansion to happen. As it is an important region to Tellabs, we are having a trusted partner like STG to support it said the account manager, TseFu Wong.

With more than 500 participants in the event, the presence of prime ministers, communication ministers and great conference lecturers, the expectations were met. STG and Tellabs brought a booth to the event, as well as Tellabs channel manager, account manager and two SSE from STG. The Local TV network interviewed STG, to tell them who we were and what we do for the area. The presence of the major telecommunications companies was met: Nokia-Siemens, Huawei, Ericsson, Nortel, Calix, alcatel-lucent, Tellabs were present among others. As for the presence of major operators in the region, we can say that only the major operator Cable&Wireless was missed.
The main concerns in the area dwell around the changes in both core and transmission areas upon the arrival of the 3G mobile presence. LTE was one of the more interesting round of conferences presented at CANTO.

Tellabs and STG once more were present on a major telecommunication event.
